Best Coffee Order

Coffee is one of the few things where the order you give is treated as a statement about who you are, which is absurd and also completely true.

The drinks here differ far less than the arguments about them suggest. A latte, a flat white and a cortado are all espresso and milk in different ratios, and the gap between them is measured in millilitres of one and seconds of the other. But those ratios change everything about how the drink gets used: a cortado is finished standing up at a counter, a latte is something you sit down with and let go slightly cold. Cold brew is a different extraction entirely and behaves like a different beverage.

It holds thirty-two orders, and the question is what you would order tomorrow morning rather than what you would order in front of a barista you wanted to impress.

Decaf is on the list. It will lose early and it deserves better than that, given that most of the people voting against it have never actually compared the two blind.
