Copyright Policy

Scope

We accept takedown requests under the United States Digital Millennium Copyright Act and requests to suspend reproduction or transmission under the Copyright Act of the Republic of Korea. Both go to the same address, and we handle both the same way.

What your notice must contain

A physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner, or of someone authorised to act for them.

Identification of the work you say has been infringed.

Identification of the material you want removed, with enough detail for us to find it — a link to the bracket, and the name of the specific candidate where that applies.

Your contact details: name, address, telephone number and email address.

A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.

A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act for the copyright owner.

A notice missing these items may be impossible to act on, and we may ask you for the missing part before doing anything.

What we do with it

When a notice is complete we remove or disable access to the material, usually within a few business days, and we tell the person who posted it what was removed and why. We keep a record of every notice we receive and every action we take.

If you think your content was removed by mistake

You can send a counter-notice to legal@favefight.com. It must contain your signature, identification of the material and where it appeared before removal, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe in good faith the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.

It must also contain your name, address and telephone number, your consent to the jurisdiction of a court where you live or, if you are outside the United States, of a United States federal court where we may be found, and your agreement to accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.

We forward a valid counter-notice to the person who sent the original notice. Unless they tell us they have started a court action, we may restore the material between 10 and 14 business days later.

Repeat infringers

We terminate the accounts of users who infringe repeatedly. This is a policy we apply, not a discretion we reserve — it is a condition of the protection the law gives services that host content posted by others.

Standard technical measures

We accommodate and do not interfere with standard technical measures that copyright owners use to identify or protect their works.

False claims

Stating materially that content is infringing when it is not, or that it was removed by mistake when it was not, carries liability for damages under United States law. Please be sure before you send either kind of notice.
