Best Game of Thrones Villain

Most shows keep one villain and protect him. This one ran a factory. A character would arrive, do something unforgivable, hold the audience for a season or two, and then be replaced by somebody worse, and the replacement was never a disappointment.

That is what makes the question awkward, because "favourite" here has never meant "worst". Nobody enjoys Joffrey; people enjoy watching Joffrey lose. Tywin is the opposite — almost impossible to root against while he is talking, and he is talking the entire time. Ramsay is neither. Ramsay is the one you skip past and then remember perfectly anyway.

Twenty-nine of them, each with the scene the argument usually starts from. Some are pure engine — the Night King never gets a line, Gregor Clegane barely needs one. Some talk their way in. And three of them spent years on the side you were told to be cheering for, which is its own sort of answer.

The obvious names are here and so are the ones who got four minutes and made them count. Karl Tanner is in a bracket with Tywin Lannister. That is not a mistake.
