The Minecraft MLG Clutch That Makes Everyone Yell

Every Minecraft player learns the same lesson the hard way. You misjudge a ravine, a creeper nudges you off a cliff, or you mine the block you were standing on, and the fall screen appears before you finish reaching for anything. The MLG is the answer the community built to that moment: something pulled out of the hotbar in the last second of a drop that turns a death into a landing. The name is a joke borrowed from competitive gaming, and the move has long outlived the joke.

This ballot holds every vanilla way to cancel or cut the fall itself, with nothing but the game you already own. Most of them are blocks you put down under your own feet in the final few ticks, like water, powder snow, slime, cobweb, hay or a ladder on the side of a pillar. Some are rides, where you drop a boat or a minecart or climb onto a horse, a pig or a strider and let it take the hit. The rest keep you from landing at all, from an ender pearl thrown at the ground to elytra opened a few blocks too late for comfort.

A few things that keep you alive after a long drop are left out on purpose. A totem of undying, a golden apple, a turtle master potion and feather falling boots all soak up damage rather than stop the fall, so they are armor, not a clutch. Every entry here is something you have to time.

Each card is a short clip of that one clutch being landed, most of them from the same test tower so the drops are comparable. Pick the one that gets the loudest reaction: the save that makes a friend yell across the room, the one you would replay ten times, or the one you still can't believe works.
